Prof. Paweł Wojciechowski is an economist with academic, business and government experience. In the years 2006-2020, he has held the positions of Minister of Finance, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, President of the Polish Information and Foreign Investment Agency, Ambassador of the Republic of Poland to the OECD, and the main economist at the national Polish Insurance Institution. Prior to that, between 1995 and 2005, he has held positions of the director of PTE Allianz S.A., president of the board and investment director of TFI Atut S.A as well as director of the fund management branch of the Polish Development Bank. He has occupied roles of independent supervisory board member for companies operating in financial and infrastructure markets in Poland. He currently serves on the management boards of British strategic consulting firm Whiteshield as well as Rockbridge TFI supervisory board.
At various stages of his career, he has lectured at American and Polish universities, including Harvard Kennedy School, John Carroll University and Leon Koźmiński Academy, recently also as professor at Wszechnica Polish Academy of Applied Sciences in Warsaw. He completed his studies in economics at the John Carroll University in the United States, followed by PhD studies at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland. He also obtained his PhD in Technical Sciences in the field of IT from the National Research Institute at the Polish Academy of Science.
