STH announces tender for the master civil engineer

The multi-discipline design documentation of the technical infrastructure, including runways and taxiways, aprons and airport systems, is the primary task of the Master Civil Engineer (MCE). The Solidarity Transport Hub company has announced a tender procedure for one of the important tasks in the planning process for the Solidarity Port.

The planning stage for the construction of a new airport between Warsaw and Łódź, which is currently underway, involves a number of specialised entities whose scope of activities has been strictly defined and interconnected. Next to the Master Architect (MA) or Airport Systems Integration Designer (ASID), the Master Civil Engineer (MCE) has a huge responsibility.

The strategic tasks of this entity will include production of multi-discipline design documentation for the airport technical infrastructure, together with associated works and services.

Land development design, the design of runways, taxiways, aprons and other airport and road pavements, specialised equipment and airport systems, utilities, along with engineering facilities, are just some of the responsibilities of MCE

says Adam Dąbrowski from the AIRPORT SUBPROGRAMME DESIGN AND ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT.

The Master Civil Engineer will be responsible for obtaining necessary Project Consentson behalf of STH, providing author's supervision (under the Option Right), as well as providing technical consultancy services at each stage of the project.

The services of the Master Civil Engineer form the basis for the future operation of the airport. As part of the tender, the requirements for future contractors are high and assume the selection of modern technological solutions, with particular emphasis on environmentally optimised solutions.

The MCE will be selected under an open tender procedure. Details of the procedure can be found on the SmartPZP platform. The deadline for submission of tenders is 25 august this year.
