First Construction Permits for the CPK Airport

The company has received permits for the construction of new high-voltage power lines. These are the first administrative decisions necessary to commence and carry out construction work on the site of the emerging airport, which is scheduled to be operational by 2032.

The issued permits pertain to the construction of 110 kV and 220 kV power lines outside the planned airport area.

The new lines will replace the existing sections designated for removal, which are located within the investment site. This marks one of the initial stages of the project to supply the new airport with electricity.

The construction permit was issued by the Mazovian Voivode based on applications submitted by the company. The project’s implementation will eliminate conflicts with the 110 kV and 220 kV overhead lines, which are owned by PGE Dystrybucja and Polskie Sieci Elektroenergetyczne (PSE).

The design and construction work will be carried out by Enprom. The construction of the new lines is set to begin between the second and third quarters of 2025.

According to the project, the removal of conflicting sections will be preceded by the construction of new lines outside the airport area. As part of the infrastructure redevelopment, a new Main Supply Point for the 110 kV line will be established to ensure electricity supply to the Centralny Port Komunikacyjny airport. The next step will be to apply for a permit to dismantle the existing power lines.

The CPK company received a location decision for the construction of high-voltage power lines in August 2024.
