CPK invests over PLN 53 million to support local communities around future transport hub
Centralny Port Komunikacyjny (CPK), Poland’s largest infrastructure investment, is allocating more than PLN 53 million to support towns and counties neighbouring the future airport and high-speed rail hub. This funding reflects CPK’s commitment to partnering with local authorities and investing in the long-term wellbeing of residents across the region.
Under the Bridging Programme, PLN 39 million has been earmarked for projects that reflect what local governments say their communities need most. These include upgrades to local roads, lighting, pedestrian areas, health clinics, schools, libraries, and public spaces.
The programme is part of a broader Development Strategy for the Area Surrounding the CPK Airport, aimed at ensuring the region can grow alongside the new transport hub. With 18 municipalities in the direct vicinity of the CPK project, the support focuses on quality-of-life improvements that matter to residents today and in the years ahead.

The Bridging Programme 2025 is intended to support the areas of boroughs and counties directly affected by the CPK airport investment. The programme will fund initiatives such as the reconstruction of roads and cycle paths, the construction of an interchange hub, the modernisation of pedestrian crossings, the building of pavements, and improved lighting of public spaces
At the same time, the support will include the furnishing, refurbishment and modernisation of educational facilities, as well as improvements in the quality of healthcare services.
Health investments for a growing population
Alongside these local development efforts, the Health 2 Programme is providing PLN 14.5 million to strengthen healthcare services in the region. This includes the purchase of modern diagnostic equipment, refurbishment of hospital wards, and support for preventive healthcare initiatives—all designed to meet the demands of a growing population.
Preparing the workforce of tomorrow
As the region prepares for the thousands of new jobs expected from the airport and related logistics and rail industries, CPK is also helping to establish Industry Skills Centres (BCU) to train the next generation of professionals. These centres offer practical training aligned with emerging needs in fields like logistics, rail operations, and infrastructure maintenance.
The initiative is part of CPK’s broader goal: to make the area around the transport hub not just a place of transit, but a centre of opportunity—for residents, workers, and future generations.
A shared future
The development of Centralny Port Komunikacyjny is more than a construction project; it’s a catalyst for regional revitalisation. By listening to local authorities and investing in their priorities, CPK aims to ensure that the benefits of this national project are shared widely and meaningfully with those who call the surrounding region home.
