CPK appoints consortium to design Airport police facility
As part of the expanding infrastructure programme for Centralny Port Komunikacyjny (CPK), a design contract has been awarded for the Airport Police Station — a key facility ensuring security across both landside and airside operations. The consortium selected to deliver the project comprises Warsaw-based Kallan Sp. z o.o. and WLC Inżynierowie Sp. z o.o. Sp.k. of Kraków. The net value of the contract is PLN 3.6 million.
The scope of work includes comprehensive architectural and engineering documentation, site planning, and supporting infrastructure. The facility will be designed to meet rigorous safety and operational standards, and will accommodate the airport’s dedicated police unit, responsible for overseeing security functions across the full airport perimeter.
The consortium is tasked with delivering a complete building design and securing planning permission. The agreement also includes options for detailed design delivery, tender documentation, and author supervision during the construction phase.

This facility will form a critical component of the airport’s broader operational ecosystem, providing policing capabilities aligned with international hub standards. The new station will integrate seamlessly into both landside and restricted airside zones, enabling coordinated response, surveillance, and public safety management.
The project is one of several currently underway under CPK’s framework contracts for Airport Support Facilities. Previous milestones include conceptual designs for the Airport Rescue and Firefighting Service (ARFF), Air Traffic Control Tower, and the Airport Operations Control Centre. Further design work is ongoing for Airport Services Maintenance Bases, an administrative building, meteorological services, and an Environmental Risk Control Centre.
With CPK positioned to become a major intermodal hub in Central Europe, investments like this reflect a wider strategy to ensure the airport’s readiness not just in terms of passenger experience and connectivity, but also in terms of resilience, security, and operational excellence.
