Annoucement on the selection of CPK management board members
The Supervisory Board of the CPK has selected dr Filip Czernicki as the company’s CEO and Marcin Michalski as a Management Board member through the qualification process.
Dr Filip Czernicki has several years of experience in the aviation industry and team leadership. While working for the Polish Airports (PPL), he was responsible for initialising, managing and supervising the strategic projects, including the Chopin Airport City, Chopin airport’s expansion to a maximum capacity and redevelopment of the surrounding road network. He has held the position of Szczecin Goleniów Airport Supervisory Board Chairman for several years. In 2006-2012 he was the Plenipotentiary for the Modlin Airport’s launch. He supervised the implementation of the Polish Airports’ strategy, as well as Chopin Airport’s Master Plan. For several years at PPL he has been responsible for corporate governance and subsidiaries. He has conducted analyses of potential investments in the aviation sector and beyond, and he managed the portfolio investment of PPL.
He is a doctor of law, attorney and university lecturer. He specializes in aviation law, company law, NGO law, project management and business consultancy. Graduate from the Faculty of Law and Administration at the University of Warsaw, he speaks fluently English, German and Russian.
Marcin Michalski is an experienced manager. For the last three years, he has held the position of managing director at Bank Ochrony Środowiska S.A. Prior to that, he spent over 20 years working for Bank Gospodarstwa Krajowego, where he held the position of managing director. While working in BGK, he participated, i.a., in the preparation and implementation of the public finance consolidation programme and in the financing of the most important investments affecting Poland’s economic development.
He graduated from the Higher School of Management in Warsaw with a degree in management and marketing, and from the Academy of Finance in Warsaw – finance and banking. In 2021, he graduated from the Executive MBA programme at the Poznan School of Trade and Services.
Dr Filip Czernicki was named CEO of CPK on the April 12, 2024, and Marcin Michalski was appointed a member of the management board of CPK on 22 April 2024.
