Magdalena Jaworska-Maćkowiak, Member of the Supervisory Board of CPK, has a unique experience in the transport policy both national and EU. Present CEO of the Polish Air Navigation Services Agency, for the last 6 years she has advised the European Commission on the Single European Sky initiative’s efficiency. She served three terms as a member of Performance Review Body of the Single European Sky expert group, she was responsible for Air Navigation Services’ performance improvement in Europe in key areas of security, capacity, environment protection and cost effectiveness. She was the first Pole in this position. She moved to PRB from the position of the CEO of the Polish Air Navigation Services Agency which she held since February 2015 until December 2016. Prior to this, she has been the vice-CEO of this institution, responsible for administration and finance. During this time, she has carried out the financial audit of the Performance Plan for 2015-2019. Her PANSE presidency saw the number of successfully implemented investments doubled, she has also introduced the vertical division of the Polish airspace.

Magdalena Jaworska-Maćkowiak has joined the aviation industry with experience in key sectors of the national transport. For 6 years she held the position of the vice-chairman of the General Directorate for National Roads and Motorways where she was responsible for the largest national road construction programme co-financed by the EU funds and Public Private Partnerships, worth over PLN 100 billion. She has worked in the railway sector as well – in 2014-2016 she was the member of the Supervisory Board of PKP Polish State Railways. She holds an MBA degree from the Warsaw University of Technology Business School and she has a post-graduate degree from the Faculty of European Law at Maastricht University / University of Warsaw, as well as from the Faculty of International Relations at the University of Warsaw.
