Dr Maciej Lasek, Secretary of State at the Ministry of Infrastructure, Government Plenipotentiary for CPK. Aviation expert with more than 25 years of experience, PhD in technical sciences from the Military University of Technology. For 10 years he was a research worker of the Institute of Aviation.
In the period of 2002-2016 member, then Deputy Chairman, and since 2012 Chairman of the State Commission for Investigation of Aviation Accidents. He specialises in transport safety issues, including air transport. He has participated in investigations of about 150 aviation accidents and incidents. Appointed by prosecutors’ offices and courts to issue expert opinions on air accidents on many occasions. Since 2010, academic lecturer at the Warsaw University of Technology.
In 2018-2019, councillor of the Sejmik of Mazowieckie Voivodeship and Deputy Mayor of the Bemowo district of the City of Warsaw. Member of the Sejm of the Republic of Poland of the 9th term (member of the Sejm Infrastructure Committee, the National Defence Committee and the Education, Science and Youth Committee) and of the 10th term.
Aeroplane and glider pilot qualified as a first-class glider instructor and first-class test pilot.
In 2003-2007, editor-in-chief of the scientific journal ‘NiT – Nauka, Innowacje, Technika’.
Graduate from the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, Power and Aeronautics at theWarsaw University of Technology.
