Dr Filip Czernicki, CEO of CPK, is a Doctor of Law, attorney-at-law and university lecturer. He is specialised in aviation law, company law, NGO law, as well as project management and business consulting.
He has several years of experience in the aviation industry and team leadership. While working for the Polish Airports (PPL), he was responsible for initialising, managing and supervising the strategic projects, including the Chopin Airport City, Chopin airport’s expansion to a maximum capacity and redevelopment of the surrounding road network. He has held the position of Szczecin Goleniów Airport Supervisory Board Chairman for several years. In 2006-2012 he was the Plenipotentiary for the Modlin Airport’s launch. He supervised the implementation of the Polish Airports’ strategy, as well as Chopin Airport’s Master Plan. For several years at PPL he has been responsible for corporate governance and subsidiaries. He has conducted analyses of potential investments in the aviation sector and beyond, and he managed the portfolio investment of PPL.
He is a Prince2 certified methodology project management professional, and author of several publications on aviation law and legal education. Besides his professional work, he has been actively involved with social organisations for many years. He co-created the student legal clinic network and is actively promoting the non-profit activities for those in need. Coordinator of non-profit programmes and Council member of the District Chamber of Legal Advisors in Warsaw, coordinator of free legal aid for Ukrainian refugees within the European Lawyers in Lesvos (ELIL) organization, and president of the Global Alliance for Justice Education for many years.
Graduate from the Faculty of Law and Administration of the University of Warsaw and the German Law School conducted in cooperation with the Universität Bonn. He speaks fluently English, German and Russian.
